Romain Pellegrino holds a Master's degree in engineering from the Grenoble Institute of Technology. He embarked on his career in the hydropower industry with GE Hydro in 2007, amassing over 15 years of international experience in engineering, technology, and business operations.

Throughout his tenure at GE Hydro, Romain has excelled in various leadership roles, including technology operation director, Hydro digital general manager, and multiple engineering positions across units in France, Switzerland, and Brazil.

In 2021, Romain was appointed President and CEO for Hydropower in North America. His commercial insights and operational excellence contributed significantly to the development of GE Vernova’s Hydropower presence in North America.

In June 2024, Romain transitioned to the role of Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer for Hydropower. In this capacity, he is responsible for steering the commercial strategy and driving strategic initiatives that align with GE Vernova's objectives, ensuring continued progress and innovation in the hydropower sector.  

Romain has two young sons who have already spent a fair amount of time in hydropower plants.
