Matthieu Béraud is a Graduated Engineer in Hydraulic and Civil Work from Grenoble Engineering School.

He has spent his career in the hydropower and dams industry, joining Tractebel in 2003 after graduating and has held various positions within the company since then. Beginning as Design Engineer, he progressed to project management roles, including projects in Africa, such as Bui dam & HPP in Ghana or Liouesso HPP in Congo where he served as Project Manager.

From 2009 to 2012, he was Resident Engineer responsible for design adaptation on the Theun Hinboun Expansion in Lao PDR, participating in the construction of the dam and powerplants.

Upon returning to Tractebel head office in France, he took on managerial duties, advancing from unit manager Head of Water product in 2023. In this role, he oversees all hydropower, dams and PSP activities for Tractebel and fosters their development.
