Mr Liu Weiping is Board Chairman of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG). Mr Liu was born in Hebei Province, China, in 1964. He is a professor-level senior engineer. He has rich experience in hydropower and energy sector and has successively served as President of General Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design of the Ministry of Water Resources of China, Board Chairman of China Water Northeastern Investigation, Design and Research Co., Ltd., Director-General of Bureau for Water Project Resettlement and Development of the Ministry of Water Resources of China, Vice Minister of Water Resources of China.
