Danilo Moresco leads the Global Business Line Excitation within ABB’s Energy Industries division, a position he has held since January 2023. He oversees a global team focused on delivering advanced excitation and rectifier technologies that enhance power system stability and reliability.

With over three decades of experience in the automation, power, and utilities sectors, Danilo has held leadership roles at Siemens, Orsi Automation, and ABB. He joined ABB in 2013 heading Southern European Region and later the ABB’s Global Power & Water businesses.

Before ABB, Danilo directed the Power and Utilities Business at Orsi Automation and held key roles in Siemens Italy’s Power Generation and Smart Grid divisions.

Danilo is also active in industry associations. He has served on the boards of T&D Europe and the Meters and More Association and is a member of the General Council of Confindustria Genova. He has contributed to national digitalisation efforts through Start 4.0 and the Digital Innovation Hub.

Outside of work, Danilo is a dedicated father of two, a bike and motorcycle enthusiast, and a passionate football fan.
