Daniel Menebhi holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics of the University of Berne (Switzerland).
He began his career at the regional management company for Africa and Arabian Peninsula of the multinational electrical engineering group ABB. There he had a career in marketing and business development and rose to regional vice president for strategy and investments in the ABB Middle East and North Africa region. After an assignment as president and country manager of ABB in Tunisia, he founded an e-commerce startup in Tunisia, later extended to Morocco.
Daniel Menebhi joined the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO in 2010 and became program manager for infrastructure financing in the economic development cooperation division. There he took successively care of bilateral cooperation programs in Kosovo, Bulgaria, Romania, Jordan, Ukraine and Ghana. He is also representing Switzerland in the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) since 2011 and in the Governments Chamber of the Hydropower Sustainability Alliance since 2017. As chair of the Governments Chamber, he is a member of the Hydropower Sustainability Governance Committee (HSGC).
