Brendan Quigley is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the International Hydropower Association with over 30 years of experience in hydropower, including pumped storage, project delivery, and contract management.
He began his career in Australia and Southern Africa, later focusing on large-scale hydropower development, rehabilitation, and extensions across Africa and Eastern Europe. He has worked extensively as both an EPC Engineer and Owner’s/Developer’s Engineer.
Brendan is currently Head of Hydropower & Dams International at Gruner Stucky SA, Renens, where he oversees the departments of Contract and Project Management, South-East Asia, South and Central Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Caucasus. He oversees multidisciplinary teams operating across regions and continents, ensuring strategic, technical, and financial performance.
He plays a key role in driving Gruner’s international growth strategy, helping position the company as a global player in energy and infrastructure sector while maintaining its strong Swiss engineering roots.
