Graduated from EPFL with a Masters in Civil Engineering in 1996, and holds an EMBA in Management and Finance from HEC Lausanne since 2008. With over 29 years of experience in the hydropower industry, Bernard Valluy has extensive expertise in the design, development, and optimisation of pumped storage systems.

In recent years, he has been involved in the evaluation and development of several greenfield and brownfield pumped storage projects, including those in Asia, North America, and Europe. Bernard Valluy is also deeply involved in asset management and operations & maintenance of pumped storage facilities and has contributed to strategic reviews and technical advancements in this field.
