Mr Abdellah SAPHAR holds a degree in engineering from the École Mohammedia d’Ingénieurs in Rabat, a Specialized Master’s in Public Service Management from the ESSEC Paris and DESS-Certificate of Aptitude for Business Administration from the University of CAEN-BASSE NORMANDIE.
He begun his career in the National Office of Electricity (ONE) in Production and Transmission Direction (as an engineer and head of the regional Measurement and protection Center) , then in Electricity Distribution ( as a Regional manager at the Distribution Direction IN 1997) and after in Hydropower Operation (as a Regional Division Manager in the Production Direction IN 2007). He was appointed Director of Renewable Energy Operations in 2016.
He is an expert in the production of hydroelectric (including Pump storage plants), solar, and wind energy. He has managed several rehabilitation projects for hydroelectric plants and dams. He has also participated in the monitoring and reception of pumped storage projects, dams, and hydroelectric plants. He is also an expert in the transmission and distribution of electricity.
His presentation will focus on the application program of the sustainability standard Norm in a pumped storage project in Morocco, within the framework of a memorandum of understanding between ONEE and HSA.
