Stakeholder Forum: pumped storage perspectives from around the world
Overview
Taking place at the culmination of the International Forum on Pumped Storage, the Stakeholder Forum is a high-level plenary session that brings together senior leaders from across governments, finance, industry, civil society and the wider renewables sector.
This final session provides an opportunity for speakers to reflect on the outcomes of the two-day Forum in Paris, and share forward-looking statements, commitments, and announcements, on the role of pumped storage in the global energy transition.
Session objectives
- Bring together the two days of discussions in Paris by outlining the headline announcements, opportunities and challenges for ensuring pumped storage plays its full role in delivering the energy transition.
- Emphasise the priority actions for governments and the financial sector to enable pumped storage development.
- Provide a platform for stakeholders to make announcement on initiatives, projects, and policies relevant to advancing pumped storage’s role in the energy transition.
